our students aren't struggling to write content. They're struggling with something much worse...
The Simmonds Signal
Write to bring peace to your mind. Write to create financial abundance. Write to find your people. Write to discover your personal path to spirituality. Write to know yourself. Write.
Insights, actionable tips, and philosophies for writers, creatives, and storytellers…
This weeks build in public report at a glance:
How to attract leads with content
How to defy dopamine addiction
The antidote to overcoming anxiety (forever)
But before we begin, a quick PSA.
We're making a build in public video series.
Where Dakota, Dale, Shayan, and I will go even more in depth with how we're scaling Ghostlii to 7 figures.
If you wish to become self sufficient in terms of wealth, you won't want to miss them.
I'll let you know when the first video goes live.
Ghostlii—Our 7 Figure Lead Generation System
Our goal: 7 figures annual revenue.
Not because it sounds cool. Or because I want to brag (okay, maybe a little).
But because at that level, we can potentially sell for a 6x multiple—around $6M cash.
Life-changing money.
The kind that buys a decade of freedom. I'll be able to go all in on writing fiction to see if I can turn it into a lucrative career (wish me luck).
To get there, we hired Andrew Rodarte as our second operations manager. Our systems are tight. Our team is strong.
But now we have a new problem.
We need more leads.
See, for months we turned away good clients because we lacked capacity. We were stuck at $40,000 per month—good money, sure, but not where we want to be.
Now we've got the team. We've got the systems. We've got the capacity.
What we need are clients willing to pay premium rates for premium results.
And we're slowly cracking the code on getting them consistently.
Here's the lead gen formula that's working not just for Dakota and me (with our combined 500K followers)…
But also for Shayan (just 20K followers) and even our Growth Ghost students with micro-audiences:
Write content on topics that 7-figure founders actually care about
Include a clear CTA on exactly who we help and how
End with social proof that builds authority and credibility
That's it.
No complicated funnels. No begging in DMs.
Just valuable content that makes your ideal clients think: "This person can help me."
Our Growth Ghost students Ken, Laszlo, and TJ are using this exact approach to drive inbound leads without massive audiences.
Get hyper-clear on who you serve. Write what they want to read. Provide proof you know what you're talking about.
Everything else is noise.
If you need help with applying this strategy to your own content and business, apply to Growth Ghost to see if we can help: “yes, I need help.”

Growth Ghost—How to Overcome a Dopamine Addiction
Three months ago, we launched Growth Ghost—our ghostwriting program.
We poured months into making sure the branding, content creation, and lead generation modules were dialed.
We tested every strategy. We refined every framework.
But here's what shocked me:
Our students' biggest struggles have nothing to do with writing itself.
They're not failing because they don't know how to craft compelling content. They're not stumbling because they can't write threads.
They're failing because they struggle to:
Write daily
Create after work when energy is low
Resist YouTube, Netflix, and video games
I'm not joking.

80% of the problems I help students solve have nothing to do with content creation. They're about consistency, motivation, and energy management.
The good news? This is your competition.
People who can't even sit in the chair and do the work.
The truth is, I'm one of them too. As I write this, I'm fighting the urge to play Elden Ring instead.
This is why mastering self motivation is just as important as mastering your craft.
Skill without action is worthless.
Want my advice? The same I give myself and my students:
Find a reason to work that's stronger than your excuses
Write daily, even if it's just one post
Detox from instant gratification for a week to reset your dopamine receptors
Your ability to delay gratification is your competitive advantage in a world of dopamine addicts.
Personal—The Anxiety Antidote (That Actually Works)
If you've followed me for a while, you know my biggest personal demon is anxiety.
What most don't know is how severe this problem really was.
In my early 20s, I was diagnosed with stage 9 out of 10 anxiety—so debilitating I nearly had to stop working entirely.
I've managed to get it somewhat under control over the years, but never fully conquered it.
Until now.
The solution is deceptively simple:
Presence.
For seven years, I was a college teacher—a scholar. My entire identity revolved around systematizing, conceptualizing, and imparting insights.
But anxiety is the future-focused mind.
When your job involves you being lost in thought, you become accustomed to thinking as opposed to doing.
It led to me struggling to be present with the work I desperately need to do.
To overcome this, I'm not just ditching this terrible mental habit. I'm ditching the scholar identity entirely.
Instead of thinking about knowledge, I'm embodying it. Instead of focusing on becoming, I'm focusing on being.
Eckhart Tolle's bestseller "The Power of Now" isn't new age fluff like I once thought—it's the cure for anxiety I've been searching for.
When I think about the writing I have to do, I'm anxious. When I focus on the writing I'm doing, my mind quiets, time slips away, I lose myself in every word.
Don't be a scholar lost in concepts. Be a sage that embraces the power of now.
Presence isn't just spiritual nonsense—it's practical mental medicine.
If you, like me, struggle with anxiety... focus on losing yourself in one small task at a time.
One word. One tweet. One post. One thread.
Presence quiets the future-focused mind. And a quiet mind is a productive mind.
Until next time,
-Taylin John Simmonds
